Every year on the second Friday in August, Australian’s are invited to get silly for a serious cause, and raise much needed funds to help stop little lives being cut short and support grieving families.

Red Nose Day takes place on Friday 13 August and donations directly fund 24/7 support for grief-stricken families, as well as education program for new parents to help them keep their babies safe and healthy. Funds also support research into the causes of SIDS and stillbirth, and what can be done to prevent these tragedies from happening.

Incredibly, over the last 30 years have funds raised have resulted in an 85 per cent reduction in sudden infant deaths. That’s 10,857 babies saved and counting.

Red Nose also provide invaluable resources for parents. In 2018, we interviewed Yvonne Amos, the National Marketing and Communications Manager, who told us all about Red Nose’s two apps; Safe Sleeping and Cot to Bed Safety.
