August Earlybird of the Month

Our Earlybird Premmie of the Month for August is the adorable James, who was born three months premature to parents Andrew and Jacqui.

Delivered at Monash Medical Centre on April 20, James weighed a mere 905 grams. Despite his early arrival, Andrew and Jacqui fondly recall his first few moments into the world.

“Hearing him cry when he was first born and knowing his little lungs could produce that sound, was one of the best feelings we have ever felt,” Jacqui said.

James was a fighter and pleasantly surprised his parents with his resilient nature. This was displayed in his first nappy change, where Andrew and Jacqui realised what a trooper James was.

“During his first nappy change he kicked so hard and had so much strength for such a little baby. It was that moment that made us realise how tough and strong James is and how much fight he has.”

Andrew and Jacqui would like to thank both of their families for showering them with love and support through the pregnancy, birth and James’ time in hospital. They would also like to thank all the staff at Monash Medical Centre who cared for James during his time there.
