We have collated the many important and special dates and events within the prematurity and wider community to take some of the mental load off your shoulders.

Chances are, if you've stumbled upon this page you may be new to the prematurity community. If this is the case, hello, welcome and sending you a big virtual hug. Whether you are a parent, friend, grandmother, aunty or coworker, you are more than just a customer or order number to us.
You are part of the Earlybirds family and the reason why we still do what we do 22 years on from starting our business following the premature birth of our founders son Jackson at 30 weeks. We hope this information is useful in getting across the many key dates and events that many within our community choose to acknowledge and celebrate.

March - Red Nose Safe Sleep Week
Month of May annually - Preeclampsia Awareness Month
First Sunday of May - International Bereaved Mother's Day
11 May - Mother's Day
12 May - International Nurses's Day
First week of August annually - World Breastfeeding Week
Second Friday in August annually - Red Nose Day
15 August - Neonatal Nurse Day
26 August - International Bereaved Father's Day
First Sunday of September - Father's Day
During Month of October - Walk For Prems (Dates may vary annually, check walkforprems.org.au for more info)
9 - 15 October - Baby Loss Awareness Week
15 October - Wave of Light. We invite you to join us and other families across the world by lighting a candle at 7pm local time and leaving it burning for at least one hour to remember all babies that have died too soon.
Month of November - World Prematurity Awareness Month
1 - 30 November - Premmie Marathon Challenge
17 November - World Prematurity Day

October - November - Walk For Prems
Event dates vary but typically October - November annually
NICU Cheer prepare and donate over one thousand gift bags every year to five NICUs on four special days of the year - Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas.
