We understand you may need your garments urgently, therefore we offer free Express Shipping on all orders over $100 within Australia and over $150 internationally.For orders less than $100 for delivery within Australia wide we offer a flat rate options from $10.00 and from $25 for international orders. All orders are dispatched via trackable Australia Post Express Post Satchels from our Melbourne Warehouse. All of our shipping rates and delivery times can be viewed here. Please note, some international orders may incur an additional customs duties/tax charges payable by the receiver.

Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout. We run discounts and promotions all year, so stay tuned for exclusive deals.

We will endeavour to fulfil any order received prior to 12pm Monday to Friday on the same day. Approximate delivery time within Australia is 1-3 working days for Express Post and 3-7 working days for Parcel Post. Please note rural deliveries may take slightly longer. Internationally, the approximate delivery time is 5-7 working days, depending on the destination. All orders are sent in Australia Post postage satchels. If you select 'Send as gift', your order will be wrapped in Earlybirds branded tissue paper and tied with a ribbon. To lessen our carbon footprint and to ensure we are being as sustainable as possible, when multiple pieces are purchased they will be packaged appropriately in one satchel. No pricing information is included, that way you can have it shipped directly to that special someone! If you would like to add a gift note, please include it in the text box provided.

If the item you are wanting is out of stock, please click the 'email when in stock' button to be notified when it is due to arrive back in stock. Or email us at info@earlybirds.com to get a rough estimate on the restock date. 

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase or if it is the wrong size, we accept exchanges up to 14 days after items are received. Alternatively you can request a refund or store credit. Shipping and handling charges will be at the expense of the buyer. Items must be a full priced item, retuned undamaged, unused and with all original packaging to be eligible for an exchange. We recommend using tracked postage and protective packaging to ensure the items arrive safely.

Your baby's care team is the best source for guidance on when your baby might be able to start wearing clothes. Generally, their skin needs to be developed enough and their cardiac, respiratory and digestive systems need to be in a stable condition.

There are practical and emotional benefits to dressing your baby. Clothing can help to retain body heat and improve their thermoregulation. For parents, seeing their baby clothed like a "full term baby" instead of a NICU patient can bring great comfort.

The process of putting on and taking off clothing can be very overstimulating for premmie babies. It's important to find garments that provide ease of dressing and are simple, soft and warm. Earlybirds prides itself on these qualities.

In NICU, babies will spend their time in a humidicrib or isolette in only a nappy. Occasionally they wear specialised NICU clothing such as our Earlybirds NICU Singlet or T-shirt. Once they have stabilised, they can usually wear clothing such as singlets, jumpsuits and bodysuits. Outside of their temperature controlled environment they can wear hats and booties. Hats and beanies are often worn during Kangaroo Care.

Yes! We undertsand you may need ot have items delivered to family members, temporary accomodation or perhaps you are sending as a gift. Simply complete the billing details as your own and the shipping details with your intended recipient and address. You can also select Gift Wrapping and include a Gift Message.

You gift will arrive wrapped in beautiful Earlybirds branded tissue paper secured with an embossed sticker with our sun logo which was designed to evoke happiness and positivity. We will hand write your gift message on an Earlybirds gift note card and no receipt or payment information will be included. Please ensure you include in your message who the gift is from.

Earlybirds sizing is based on weight, not on the traditional zero '0000' method. Our research has indicated this weight system is more accurate in ensuring that the size you have chosen will fit your baby perfectly which is an important element to dressing your premature or small baby, both practically and emotionally. To assist you in choosing the right garment for your baby, view our size chart.

All Earlybirds garments are made from 100% organic cotton, with the exception of our Velour range which is made from cosy soft velour fabric. Our cotton garments are all GOTS certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define worldwide recognised requirements for organic textiles. All fabrics are thoroughly tested to ensure they are free from substances that could be harmful to your baby's delicate skin. 

We know you already have enough on your plate so we have ensured all of our garments are easy to care for by being machine washable. They are also thoroughly tested to ensure they are free from harmful substances. 

Our pieces are made by our global team of craftsmen in India. Our manufacturer is a small, family owned business whom value responsible working practices for their customers.
