Every year, we are humbled by the stories shared with us—stories of strength, compassion and the extraordinary care shown by neonatal nurses across Australia. These nurses walk alongside families during some of the most emotional and transformative moments of their lives, and it is our privilege to honour them.
This year, we received an overwhelming number of nominations, each one a beautiful reminder of just how much our NICU and SCN nurses do for our tiniest fighters and their families. Every nominated nurse will receive a personalised Certificate of Appreciation, recognising the impact they have made and the love they have poured into their care.

Georgia
We are thrilled to recognise Georgia, a NICU nurse at the Centenary Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Canberra, as this year’s winning nominated nurse.
Sara's nomination of Nurse Georgia... "Georgia was absolutely amazing during our NICU journey! She cared so beautifully for our Rivah-Skye. Made many beautiful hand & footprints for us. Georgia always made us feel like Riv was in safe caring hands if we weren’t there. She would always pop past and visit if she hadn’t seen us for a while. Georgia works in the NICU at the Centenary Women’s & Children's Hospital in Canberra."
Georgia’s nomination by premmie mum Sara was filled with warmth and gratitude, a testament to the profound impact she had on the family she supported. Known for her gentle care, attention to detail and the way she made every moment feel safe, supported and cherished, Georgia went above and beyond during their NICU journey, creating keepsake footprints, offering calm reassurance on difficult days and treating their little one with tenderness as if she were her own.
