At Earlybirds, we know that the NICU journey doesn't end when families leave the hospital. The challenges, questions and emotions often continue long after discharge, which is why organisations like Miracle Babies Foundation play such an important role in supporting families every step of the way.
This July, Miracle Babies Foundation is hosting its Melbourne High Tea to raise vital funds for its NurtureProgram, which provides peer support, education and resources for premature and sick newborn families across Victoria.
One family who understands the importance of this support is Maddison and Paige's mum. At just 24 weeks, complications from Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome led to an unimaginable journey. Paige sadly lived for only 16 minutes, while Maddison spent 118 days in NICU. Months later, connecting with other families through Miracle Babies' NurtureGroup became an invaluable source of support.
Today, approximately 12,000 Victorian families require specialised care for their babies each year, yet support services remain limited due to funding constraints. Miracle Babies Foundation receives no regular government funding for its programs, making community fundraising events like the High Tea essential to expanding services and ensuring families know they are never alone.

At Earlybirds, we are incredibly grateful for the work Miracle Babies Foundation does for NICU and premature baby families. We know firsthand how important it is for parents to feel understood, supported and connected by others who truly "get it".
If you're in Melbourne and looking for a wonderful way to support an incredible cause, we encourage you to gather some friends and enjoy a beautiful afternoon while helping make a difference for families navigating one of the most challenging times of their lives.
